• AND I'LL STAY ALIVE • just to follow you home !He's really like to have said it was the snow that was keeping him in doors these days. However last Christmas over dinner when the Zabini's had been invited over he had been informed that since Sirius had failed to live up to expectations. Which really meant since Sirius had gotten half a brain and gotten out of their Merlin forsaken family. He would have been betrothed to the elder Zabini sister, since he was no longer concidered a member of the family for being well in short a Blood traitor both of their beaming parents had informed he and Tabbitha that they had decided to allow them the honor. Now Reg had seen Tabby around the Commons had worked with her in class and she was absolutely beautiful. That wasn't the thing. They'd seen each other, and they knew of each other but that was about it.
Regulus couldn't say that he hated her but he wasn't sure what to think of her really. Her older sister was also in there House and she seemed to be quiet the flirt. Reg was glad that the younger of the two was just a princess he was from the Noble House of Black and Anyone marrying into it would gain both wealth and prestige. Not that it was for either of them it was for the blood. In other words stay pure of line and continue it until they were so inbred. He sighed he didn't like his own train of thought. He had heard his cousin Andromeda had issues with the family too. Still he remained the dutiful son. The one who served his name and House because well he was fifteen and had no real friends of wealth like Sirius and the Potters. "Some times I think to much." he muttered to himself and made his way to the Slytherin table. His hand swept back through inky hair as he looked to see if any of his friends were lurking about. Severus was likely off with Evans somewhere. It was known those two were going to get married out of school.
Spying Tabbitha he sighed and figured he could do so much worse for a lunch date. Moving to where she was. He bowed slightly to her. "Hello, may I have a seat here with you ?" he asked politely. The boy had long since learned enough manners to get him through most situations, and he was charming enough he supposed. Still he couldn't help but feel mildly watched as he went to sit with the fiancee he had been given rather than choose. He was fairly sure she likely felt excactly the same way. What if they shared no similarities. What if they could never grow to even care for each other, let alone love one another. Than there was the fool hearty quest he had set his feet on. Making himself a target for Death Eaters if they ever caught wind of it. Howver, that actually slipped from mind as he tried to keep a tight reign on his emotions.

you take what you get and you get what you give - - - - - don't run from yourself, that's no way to live When it came to laying plans for the future, Tabitha was quite different from many other young people. Quite simply, it involved no significant other. It wasn’t that she never wanted to settle down and get married and eventually have children – it just wasn’t that important to her. She had an older sister who seemed interested enough in carrying on the Zabini bloodline, so even though Tabitha’s plan did not involve such things, she had assumed it would all work out just fine. The thought that either one of them would be forced into an arranged marriage had honestly never occurred to her, so when their parents had informed them that Tabitha would be engaged to Regulus Black because Sirius had run away and could therefore not marry the elder sister, she had been understandably shocked. Arguing with her father was not something she dared try, however, as the man could have quite the temper. Therefore, at fifteen, the girl who had never even thought about romance was engaged to a young man she did not know particularly well, but from what she knew, she didn’t really like him. That could just be out of principle, though – she doubted she would have liked anyone she was forced to marry.
As much as this arranged marriage bothered her, however, there were other things she had to focus on. The fifth years would be having their NEWTs in a few months, and something would have been very wrong if Tabitha was not already spending most her time studying. She was a highly intelligent young woman, and also an extremely ambitious one, so she intended to pass all her NEWTs with top grades and take as many subjects as she had time for in her sixth and seventh years. The impending marriage was constantly on her mind, however – what would happen to her education after she got married? Would she be required to be a pretty little housewife like her mother, sitting in her living room and watching the world go by and take all her dreams with it? The notion was absolutely terrifying. She didn’t really think Reggie was the kind of person who would force her to give up on her goals, but the Black family which she would be a part of seemed likely to expect her to do so. Having known the Black family for as long as she could remember, she could not recall hearing of a single woman in the family who dared make a name for herself. That was a depressing thought.
Looking up from the parchment in front of her, she saw the very young man she had just been thinking about moving towards her. He wasn’t bad-looking by any standard, which was definitely a plus. At least being seen around Regulus Black wasn’t embarrassing. Tabitha had no pretense of being less than superficial, and had she been engaged to someone ugly, she would have been absolutely devastated. Well, even more devastated than she felt now, anyway. As he stopped next to her, her eyebrows arched slightly and she forced a faint smile. Honestly, what she wanted to do was sit here and study, but it would be very rude to say no, and she knew better than to be rude to someone she would have something to do with in the future. ”Of course. Have a seat,” she replied with a shrug, quickly looking him over. They had been friends when they were young children, but during the years at Hogwarts, they hadn’t really had all that much to do with each other. Maybe it was time to get to know one another again now, since they would undoubtedly have to sooner or later.
