He stood with his back against the wind the cloak he wore pulled firmly against his frame. The weather was windy at least it wasn't snowing. The Death Eater had business with the Greybacks today and he wasn't about to miss a chance to make an impression on the dark lord. Still he kept his guard up and his attention on his surroundings. It wasn't Knockturn Alley but it really wasn't much better now was it ? His blue eyes taking in the sights of the streets as he moved along. His pace slow and calculated he was well aware that at six foot four inches tall he stood out a bit. Still nothing when compared to someone like Hagrid the grounds keeper.
The best idea he thought would be to move along and get himself a cup of coffee to keep his hands warm. Even through his glove the biting chill was apparent. Still he had information for the werewolf if he wanted it he'd find him if he was late. It wasn't like Fenir was anything more than a lackey in his opinion. Like some misbegotten dog. Not that muggle borns were much better. He was just less vocal with his dislikes. Still he was one of the people absolutely not intimidated by the werewolf pack. He knew for a fact that should something happen to him. His father would have the were wolf registry to go by.
A flash of red caught his eyes and drew his attention as he approached a small coffee cart. There was a tiny red head in front of him already in line and if he wasn't mistaken and he rarely was. That was the schools Head Girl. He smirked and also something of a enigma given she was an Order Member marrying a Death Eater. Sure Alex could be a real git, and his view would have gotten him hexed he didn't dislike the muggle born, he just thought they'd make better pets than people. He stepped in line behind her and pushed his hands in his pockets. "Curious to see you out and about Miss.Evans. Without you husband to be." he drawled softly keeping his tone even though there was no menace in his words he was sure it would set off some warning bells in the witch. Since that was not the intent at least not at the moment.

She said we got to hold onto what we got It doesn't make a difference if we make it or not.We got each other and thats all right for love we'll give it a shot Oh,we've got to hold on Ready or Not You live for the fight When thats all that you've got - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Lily had been out doing her shopping as she tended to do by herself if only because she knew actually having to deal with the stupidity of others put Severus in a foul mood. Since it amazed him how people could be such dunderheads. She didn't have that problem or rather she never really mentioned it when she did. The snowy weather had to be magical by that point she knew. Since nothing was fading and she wondered remotely if the Ministry was ever going to or planning in the near future to do something about it. She had several bags at her feet from her shopping She knew she could have stopped off at any one of the numerous shops along the way, but that wasn't what she wanted she was intent on getting back to the Room at the Hogshead. Yes, she knew the Three Broomsticks was better but people actually left you alone in the Hogshead, that is if they were any form of bright. It wasn't that Lily didn't love Hogwarts, it was just less easy to be herself there anymore.
She was dressed warmly at the moment her long hair swept up and out of her face so she could see where she was going though the wind did lift it and toss it around her face as though it didn't matter she was attempting to restrain it. Lily chewed on her lower lip as she stood in line. It didn't surprise her that someone was in line behind her. The coffee smelled fabulous. Lily wanted to chew the coffee beans but was fairly sure that was a signifigantly bad idea. She couldn't write home to ask about cravings after all. So she was well and stuck dealing with it on her own. Not that anyone knew well anyone out of her inner circle. Anyways. She was happy when the line moved a little bit. Her thoughts were on the NEWTS and what was going to be done out of school. She had to take the courses for Auror she could easily go to work right away in Potions if she wanted to. Severus was thinking of replacing Sluggy, and she knew Sluggy was growing more and more enamoured of the idea it hurt a little she liked the Head of Slytherin it would be so different without him. Than again she was thinking like a student still.
When she heard a voice address her from behind she did not tense but she did slide her fingers to her sleeve where she wore her wand. She never knew when it was one of the Purebloods interested in hexing her because she had dirty blood and Lily was simply in no mood to tolerate it. She turned slightly on her heels and peered up at a tall, handsome dark haired man. Slytherin she could tell just by looking at him and than his words backed that up. She did not recognize him. "I have to admit I am not sure who you are." she told him. "My husband to be is lurking about I am sure." she added just in case a girl could never be to careful. "He lets me out of his sight on occassion, he doesn't even have to walk me..I can do that all by myself." she rolled her eyes faintly. Keeping her temper in check, he was a Pure blood some of them weren't all that right in there head. That thought also led to her clamping her mind into defensive mode. "Your not following me are you ?" she finally asked.

Alex had to admit he liked her Lily Evans had a fire that you didn't often see in Pureblood woman who weren't lacking in sanity. He ran a hand through his dark hair and a faint smile touched the corner of his lips. "Well said Miss.Evans." he told her inclining his head to her. There was a pale twinkle to his eyes as he watched her. His head lifted and he gazed over the many people there was no doubt in his mind that she was right.Severus was odd even in the Common's Room there was an air about him that said he wasn't to be triffled with in addition to the no I do not like you and no I do not want to feeling he let off. Still he had taken the mark as well. It was something many of the other Slytherin were dragging there feet about. It was okay with him because it showed the Dark Lord who was truly willing and who was truely loyal. Crabbe and Goyle were also marked in the same way. They were two of his constant companions.
"I am not here to scare you, or to cause you any trouble, I am mostly here on business. Miss.Evans and I saw you and couldn't resist saying hello." he gave a faint little courtly bow to her. "I didn't think you would mind, seeing as Severus and I belong to the same ah--club." he brought his hand to the arm where he bore the Dark Mark. It was an indication that he understood more about what was going on than he felt at leisure to discuss there."Oh, and no I am not following you, I know better and have common sense have you seen Goyle's wounds ? I have." he offered simply. " Like many things, one does what one must." he said simple. He nodded to the person behind the coffee counter. "Just add the cost of her's to mine." he said "I would like espresso with steamed milk and caramel." he informed the person behind the counter.
"I would like to speak with Severus at some point, if you think that you might be able to arrange it?" he asked. His fingers wrapping around the offered cup. Once Lily had hers. He was almost courtly in his nature. He glanced around them hoping to see the man in question but as he didn't he motioned to some seats. "I am sure he discuss's things with you if you'd be interested in knowing ?"

She said we got to hold onto what we got It doesn't make a difference if we make it or not.We got each other and thats all right for love we'll give it a shot Oh,we've got to hold on Ready or Not You live for the fight When thats all that you've got - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Lily knew of Alexander and she knew he was a good duelist she'd dueled him in the Dueling club and was quiet challanged which said alot given Lily and Sev dueled for fun and for training when they were of a mind to do so. She had never sat down and talked to him. Figuring he was just one of those boys who hung with his crowd and stayed there. Of course she'd seen him lurk about Severus but he'd never made a move to introduce himself and he would shuffle off once Lily got there. He was also seen in the company of Crabbe and Goyle but remarkably never Mulciber or Avery. Since he'd never openly been aggressive towards her or her own. Lily didn't feel the need to hex him on the spot though she might if he got to personal with her. She wasn't use to strange men buying her coffee either. She could only dip her head in response to his compliment. This was strange to say the least."As you say, Mr.Parkinson." her tone showed none of her curiosity because she'd locked her thoughts down just in case.
"Oh I am not afraid be certain of that." she said quietly as she sipped the cup of hot coffee she'd been given. Her gaze going up to the young man's. "I refuse to live in fear of anything." she did not want to inquire into his business but she wanted to remain polite so she chuckled "How do I get the impression this is more than just saying hello, and that your looking for something from me. After all it is the slytherin thing to do ?" she pointed out. "And yes, I have been accussed of being similar myself." she nodded when he touched his arm and too glanced around them. "Likely went into one of the book stores knowing him." she told Alex. "I am also well aware of the woes Mr.Goyle got himself into and I am afraid I can not be sorry for him, seeing as he'd like to cause permenant harm to my person." Severus had come clean about it to her and admitted he'd almost killed on her account. It had both been touching that he would do that for her, and a bit frightening on the same front, that he would do that for her.
"Well I am sure he would be more than happy to talk to you, you both do share a Common's and while he's not there as often as he use to be.." she murmured. "Unless its something your not wanting everyone to hear about." she asked. When he stirred her towards the cafe, she nodded her head to him. "I need to take medicine anyways, fighting the flu." she murmured. "Since you want to speak with me, you can wait while I grab some fried vegtables ?" Lily had a craving for fried vegtables, of all types her favorite being pumpkin. They weren't just at dinner or lunch it was at odd hours. She woke up from a sound sleep wanting them. She supposed it came with her condition. She'd read about strange cravings she was fortunate that it wasn't anything too strange. Other than cookie dough which she often dragged her best friend Mary into eatting with her. "While I am not Severus's secretary I will relay the message to him, if you want to tell me." she said as she sat her bags down on a bench. "I admit I am not use to purebloods speaking to me without adding the term mudblood to there sentence." she said "Or a hexing or rather attmpted hexing following."

He feared she was labouring under the impression he was going to hex her and was lulling her into a false sense of security which was not the truth. In fact he was looking forward to talking to someone who had a view other than. Kill the muggle here or torture one there. It was all very sad, that this generation of Death Eaters weren't quiet like the ones that were about in his parents day. Oh there was no doubt his parents were still evil for the sake of evil, but it was an evil that had class. Something that could be compared to a work of art. These days the art of being a Death Eater was to torture and maim without anything other than because I can behind it. It was meant to raise fear. No Slytherin didn't understand that these days. He himself was not so pleased with it and he was far from being a typical Death Eater, still he had been offered the mark and he had taken it because he was looking for something to devote himself too. "Well of course I say." he answered with a chuckle. "I just have." how gave her only a faint smile. To show he wasn't picking at her merely making light of the subject.
He believed her when she said she wasn't afraid and there was something about the way she tipped her head in that instance that reminded him of someone sizing up a threat. "While I respect that, you are Gryffindor, Lily." he explained. "I wouldn't say that it would denote absolute fearlessness but rather a willing to stand bravely between danger and a loved one, or one who could not defend themselves." Alex said as he paid for there drinks and tipped the man after sipping it. "Ah again preceptive of you...though it was a simple hello until I got my bearing in order." he explained quietly. "The only thing I want from you Miss.Evans is to have you speak to your man, since you will most certainly see him before I do." he said 'He listens to you I am sure." he added "Can not deny that in Potions Class he leans foward to hear you, so you can at least catch his ear. he merely smiled at her faintly when she mentioned her likeness to his House. "In another place and time you might have been a member of my house." he nodded his head "Goyle was a fool, he should have known better, I do not lament his punishment for stepping out of line, if someone does something it take a stern show or recourse to make them see the folly of there ways." he shrugged his shoulders once more."Severus is more than capable of handling himself and Goyle knew that when he said what he dared to say. He is most fortunate that it was just a length stay in the medwing, and not a more permenant one in say a pine box."
She was talking softly so he moved a touch closer to better hear her "Ah but thats the troubles of the lovely Snakes Pit.." he arched a brow"You never discuss plans in such a place as to have everyone over hear them unless that is the intended purpose and in my case. It is not. What I am doing is dangerous and I would no have anyone of my more shall we say thieving of ideas house-mates stepping on my toes. I find it makes me harsh, and a gentleman should always mind himself." he added. Alex would have offered her an arm had he known her a bit better. Also had he been sure if Severus heard about it and he knew he would some how. That he didn't want to be assumed to be hitting on his wife to be. No he had his eye on Mary and had since he'd seen the two red-haired girls together. Similar reflection cast by different mirrors. Once they had reach the place he allowed Lily to pick where they set and once she'd put her packages down and made her intent known he stood and pulled the seat out for her. "Allow me." he said "My business, concider it a busniess lunch, and thus again my treat." he said his quick strides taking him to the counter where he placed her order for fried Vegtables, and his own for fish and chips. He added two slices of chocolate cake to that and a pot of hot tea for when the coffee was gone.
Returning with his tray he sat down across from her and allowed her to take her food from it. Than glanced around them again before he spoke. "You see, there are werewolves none to happy with the severe restrictions placed on them by the Ministry of Magic, and where there is displeasure there is of course those willing to revolt. I felt if I could gather some of them I would better be able to serve." he flashed her a faint smile. "Mind you this is nothing the Order doesn't already know, Fenir Greyback has been working for the Death Eaters for a little over a decade. Still its only here and there and I have plans to see if I can align them." he sighed "Honestly I'd just like his opinion on how best to do that." he said taking a bite from his sandwich.

She said we got to hold onto what we got It doesn't make a difference if we make it or not.We got each other and thats all right for love we'll give it a shot Oh,we've got to hold on Ready or Not You live for the fight When thats all that you've got - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - While he might have been worried she was concerned about what he might do to her. That was the farthest thing from her thoughts. In fact Lily was trying to decide what she wanted to have for dinner. She got hungry and than she wasn't it was very irritating to say the least. Most Slytherin had an over blown image of themselves thinking that just because she was smaller than them,Muggle born that she should be afraid. Well on the first account Lily had always been small, Severus had gotten taller than her quickly and when she complained taller still. It had been amusing she had just gotten herself some heels. The Second was foolish since Severus had been her teacher since she was eight and he was nine, though there was really only a few weeks between them. She had learned in three years what few pure bloods were taught. It gave her a healthy respect for magic, and dark magic seeing as what could be done with it.Both her small hands were still wrapped around the warm cup taking in the nice scent. She gave him half a smile at his comment. At least he wasn't ashamed of talking to her out in the open or buying her a drink, even if it was for business sake. she was well aware that people would try to get to Severus through her. It was apart of how things played within Slytherin, if they can't influence him, get to someone who can get to him.
"Ah, yes I am Gryffindor." she agreed and had to hide her tone. She was more than the House she was apart of. A House was suppose to be a place of comfort over one's head to give them a sense of well being. Not define them she didn't correct him though or let on to her thoughts. "True enough that." she agreed with him and pushed her hair back behind her ears with one hand that strayed from her cup. She couldn't gather why he was so social with her when most others would sooner catch dragon pox than be caught out with her.Lily nodded again. "As I have said before,Alexander, I do not own my manhe has free will to come and go as he sees fit as well." she laughed. "I wondered how long it would take people to go from, oh hex her to oh get on her good side." she murmured as she sipped the coffee and glanced out over the crowds."Prehaps, but I do not do well with what might have beens, they are as elusive as true divinations." a soft sound escaped her at his comment on Goyle. "Well I am well aware that you are related to the foolish pair." she told him. "I find that its not stopped me from sleeping well at night, nor has the emolation of Miss.Yaxley I feel justified and rest assured I would likely do it again, such is the strangeness of love, and passions, and being pushed beyond ones means." she nodded her head. "Possiable because Severus wouldn't like Azkaban, or being expelled from school."
"I admit to some skepticism that you would want to discuss any form of plans with someone so deeply rooted in the Order of the Phoenix, Alexander." she said "You know we oppose what you are doing." she too nodded to the arm that bore his dark mark with out speaking or really drawing attention to it. Lily bit her lower lip though. Maybe she wasn't giving him a fair shake. "The problem is there are vipers in the pit and not enough loyalty to keep them from biting each others tails. she shrugged. "I will listen to what you have to say, and I will speak to Severus on your account, but I will tell him everything, nothing will be left out. Not like he couldn't just peer into my thoughts either mind." she added he was a known Occulmeins and Legimeins. She wouldn't have taken his arm anyways, it showed way to much framiliarity in this case there was none. She would hang off of say Mary's arm when they were out togther, or hold onto Sev though more often she just held his hand.Alex she simply didn't know well enough to do so with,
"Yes, I am well aware of the steepness of legislate and how they feel about werewolves." Lily shook her head faintly. "Its atrocious for those few who were mauled and are trying to live with it in a manner that is goodly." she whispered."Fenir is someone who needs a stern smack up the side of his head." she hissed "He better never cross me, he did a dis-service to a friend of mine, and thats all I will say on it, I will not go into detail." she murmured as she took a bite out of her meal. "Alright so what is it that you need from Severus ?" she asked. "I seriously doubt that blood thristy fool would partake of any form of potion to calm the beast."Lily raised a brow "Now listen to me before you go trying to align werewolves, fancy words will do you little good, because action and dominace is a way of life. If a person is deemed unworthy to lead they are forced out." she said as she poured them both tea. Her brows drawn. "Your playing at a dangerous game, Alexander, one that can get you turned on at any moment." she murmured. "I admit I hold little love for few of Sev's Housemates, but your talking something that could be suicide if not handled properly."

The snow was depressing even for him when he was a snow owl, so as he and the young woman in front of him moved along the drifting snow he kept in step with her. Lily was certain different than what many Slytherin gave her credit for. Not that the Snakes den would give a muggle credit for much.It was clear that she was someone who could channel the fire in her soul through her magic. No one had hit on Severus since that point. Than again she had been so mad she'd not been able to see even he had felt like that before with them. The gold diggers in Slytherin were numerous and insistant. It was sad really, pure bloods should know to act better than that. "Ah I never assumed you owned Severus he is his own person of course, but you do own the abilitiy to get close to him to be near him without having to worry about a wilting look or a scowl that might set one cringing. " he arched a brow at her and spoke softly leaning down so there was no chance for anyone else to hear him. "I would think miss Evans you already figured that out. Your aggressive, but your cunning, your what they should be, maybe its envy but after your spectacular fire show I know more than one girl who treads carefully around your fiancee. " he said seriously. 'You've made a show of yourself, Power is respect among them." he gave her a sympathic pat on the shoulder.
"Yes I know that he did and I have no doubt you would. It is a treasure to love someone that much in my opinion. To live and breathe for them to be willing to kill and die for them. You don't see that kind of love or loyalty these days. Its about arranged marriage, and social climbing. This whole war, I think could have been adverted if handled differently in the past." he shrugged. "But the past is not for us to choose , its for us to learn from." he rubbed his arm as well and tipped his head to the side. "Why would I not, you might not be a member of my group but your a needed part of the cause, and it would not be so unusual. I assure you my alliances are my own." he tapped his wand lightly. "A hero dies but one death, and a coward a million." it was all he said on the subject and did not care to eloberate.
He said nothing of her not taking his arm it was only polite to offer it was just how he was. Still he stood firm and settled into a seat across from her. Listening as she talked he helped himself to his food. Chewing thoughtfully at her words before offering input. "I wouldn't ask you too, but Fenir is also a force to be reckoned with because you see Lily, he's not a lone wolf he has his own pack. That could become usful in the War. Given they don't care who they bite or whom they maul you understand ? he asked. 'If I can get them to listen to some form of reason I might be able to help out better." he wasn't saying anything about who it would be helping since his alligence was suspcious at best by the pretty red-head. "Oh, I don't want him to brew a potion for Fenir, I want something that might work as a replent or be used to combat a werewolf should things go south for me." he explained. "I was hoping for a quick silver potion." he explained as he arched a brow. "Silver that will harden quickly." he shook his head "I also want someone I feel I can trust to know." again no details on that. he took the tea she poured him and sipped it quietly pale blue eyes touching her own orbs. "Ah, but Lily..I am not the only one playing a dangerous game. I have and always have been able to sense emotions, I know you love Severus as much as I know he loves you, and I fear that if either of you are found out it would go the same way." he held a hand up. 'Were all playing out roles. The world is but a stage and all of us are actors." he told her. "We, together wear manymasks,we much be careful not to get to comforable behind one not our true face." he folded his hands "Will you do this for me ?"
